Bio
George Rodrigue, a real Cajun from New Iberia, Louisiana, has been fully engrossed in his family's unique and color heritage, portraying the distinction in a series of Cajun landscapes, portraits, and cultural illustrations. The Blue Dog Series developed from Rodrigue's Cajun paintings.
He took on a number of both local and national commission projects including one that involved 40 paintings for a book of Cajun ghost stories. He also kept busy with commissioned portraits by the National Republican Committee of Ronald Reagan and George Bush, and also numerous gallery and museum exhibitions.
