Bio Shanti Scutt is 21 years old and an art student at the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating, she hopes to teach art to high school students. Reflection This is an oil mask inspired by an oak tree that I grew up with in my backyard. This tree is 100 years old and has been there while my father grew up in the house next door to my childhood home. Oak trees to me symbolize strength, beauty, and family. And although so majestic and grand, the leaves symbolize individuality and the precious things life can bring.
