Bio Carla Reed designed and made custom hand-painted lampshades for Sue Johnson in Berkeley for the past couple of decades. It was a great experience for her with lots of variety in the projects as well as a source for her to give her work wide exposure. Now she is a freelance textile designer working for Eileen West and American Pacific in San Francisco. She also teaches textile design at the California School of Professional Fabric Design in Berkeley. Reflection I loved having the opportunity to work on the Mask Project, not only for the joy in the art, but also as a chance to thank the VNA, and people everywhere who are helping others who need caring attention and hospice.
