Bio
For the past two years, Kim has served as the President of the Art Guild of Pacifica. She is a resident studio holder at the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, California, as well as a student at Skyline College.
Her medium of choice is where her heart lies. Working with my hands to create art is very fulfilling. She feels very lucky to have been given this opportunity to paint a mask. Her brother is an AIDS patient and has benefited from programs in the medical community.
Reflection
Looking at my bare mask, the thought struck me that it needed some kind of extensive care to bring it color and life. Using many types of color as treatments over many weeks produced a depth of understanding for me as to the regiment of medical care needed to keep many AIDS patients comfortable. I thank you for my chance to give back and for all those who cannot.
