Reflection
I had a hard time deciding what to do with the mask. It had a beautiful shape and beautiful contours and it seemed to need to be about beauty. But that didn't seem like enough because of the Hospice connection.
My regular work didn't seem right either...'I'm painting love letters to those who left' but what does that say to the person leaving? And then it came to me...it's the same...going, coming, staying, leaving...the important thing is the love and the connection.
