Reflection
The visual images on the mask consist of 16th century Albrecht Durer woodcuts from the Adoration of the Lamb-Hymn of the Chosen AND an enlarged section of William Hogarth's, The Sleeping Electorate. Using acrylic polymer transfers stretched over the mask then painting lightly into the images I am trying to create a dreamlike, skewed space. An unusual celebration of the humanness of aspirations. The Mask Project and Hospice are important endeavors as they have benefited family and friends. I have participated in other projects (creative projects) honoring those individuals facing critical challenges.
