Thoughts:
For this mask design, I worked with metal foil/opaque and transparent colors. This mask is dedicated to my brother, Father Miles O'Brien Riley. Our family of six creative brothers and sisters performed family skits, played musical instruments, wrote poetry and songs. Father Miles, who attended St. Joseph's College and St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, Calif., and completed his doctorate in theology at the Gregorian University in Rome and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, was ordained at the North American College in Rome in 1963. He has served as associate pastor at parishes in San Mateo, San Rafael and San Francisco. His main ministry being mass media, Fr. Miles has written musical comedies, books, articles and reviews, as well as producing films and hosting radio and TV programs. He also conducts workshops in communications for leaders in the Catholic Church.
