An art teacher at Serra High School in San Mateo, California, Ms. Farrell started the art program last year. Class offerings have doubled this year. She has shown her oil paintings and bronze and patinas paintings in the San Francisco Bay Area during the last two years.

This mask design repeats a theme of self expression that I use in my art. I also used the medium that is prevalent in my canvases -- that of bronze paint and blue patina. The patina acts as an acid for definition of lines.
