Ms. Jones is a painter and a sculptor who works in oils, metal, clay and gypsum cement. She also makes life masks from mixed media. She has a studio at the Sanchez Art Center, in Pacifica, California and teaches art full-time for young students with learning differences.

Thoughts:

I call my mask design "Seeing Beyond." The ceramic base is covered with copper foil, painted in acrylics, and etched out with a sharp tool. The design shows a figure representing the spirit flying freely, seeking the knowledge that comes from beyond this life.
