Because I like bold colors against black, I designed this mask to have a jewels-on-black velvet effect. This mask is a fool, a harlequin. He lives to give the butterflies a place to land. His name is "Oblivion." As a kid, I played with the Ouiji board and once asked it if I had any friends on the "other side" and Oblivion responded. I believe in him sporadically and he believes in me all the time. He is joy in the darkness; and joyful participation in the sorrows of loss and pain.
