Ms. Blethen is a therapist/artist working and living in Pacifica, California. She became involved in the Hospice Mask Project through a friend who heads the children's division of the Santa Rosa (California) Hospice.

Thoughts:

My mask design, entitled "The Boat of Life Approaching the Setting Sun," is a reflection on the work of Hospice which does, I believe, a wonderful job of helping people transition from this life to the next. I am happy to help further the good work done by this organization.
