Arabella Decker received formal training at both the Art Institute of Chicago and the Rudolph Shaefer School of Design. Her artwork has been exhibited throughout the country, and extensively in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Currently, Ms. Decker lives and works in Montara, California.

Thoughts:

This mask — a face — only hints at part of an outward persona. Is the person only a persona? Is white the symbol of death if other color co-exists as a foil? Playing hide-and-seek can be fun. Open eyes do not always see what closed eyes know. Awareness always has hidden layers of expression and texture if alive. A symbol is not a truth.
