The current Director of the nonprofit Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, California, Mr. Leone is a painter and print maker with a Masters in Fine Arts from San Jose State University. The Art Center includes three galleries, 19 active studios and a performance space. Mr. Leone shows and sells his work through the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's Rental Gallery and has worked all over San Francisco and Canada, where he formerly lived.

Thoughts:

When I started to design this mask, I spontaneously began painting who I knew right away to be Eve. When she reached up the for apple, that became the eye. Eventually, the face evolved out of my love of natural forms and their relationship to each other-the tree, the fins, the bird are almost icons. These make up the whole face and that is Adam, sprung from the earth and intimately connected to it.
