Hospice Mask Project celebrates the compassionate work of the Bay Area's finest treasures: the nurses, home health aides, volunteers, social workers and chaplains who care for thousands of patients and their families each and every year. Sutter VNA & Hospice is a not-for-profit home health and hospice care organization. The agency began in 1906 with volunteer nurses from the Berkeley Free Clinic responding to the communitys needs to care for those sick, injured and disabled by the earthquake and fires.
Today, Sutter VNA & Hospice makes more than 230,000 home care visits each year, in addition to caring for an average of 300 hospice patients each day, providing health care and hospice care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.
